What a Cronus Zen script does in NBA 2K, and what it cannot
A 2K script releases the shot on a stored timing, chains dribble moves, and times dunks. It cannot see the meter or pick the shot. Why no script greens every attempt, and what LuraNBA does about the part it can control.

Search "Cronus Zen 100% greens" and you will find people promising it. Here is what a script actually does in NBA 2K, so you can judge what to expect from any script, including ours.
What the Zen sees
The Zen sits between the controller and the console and rewrites controller input. It has no video input. It cannot see the shot meter, the defender, the fatigue bar or the animation. Everything a script does is a pattern of button and stick input on a schedule.
What a 2K script changes
| Feature | What it does | What it depends on |
|---|---|---|
| Auto-green shooting | You start the shot on the right stick; the script releases it at a stored delay inside the green window | A calibration to your jumpshot, your display and your pad |
| Timed dunks and layups | Releases inside the meter window | Calibration |
| Dribble macros | One press sends a move chain | Your binds |
| Quick-stop and flick shots | Fixed input sequences | Binds |
| Infinite stamina | An input pattern the game treats as rest | The game's stamina logic, which patches can change |
Why nobody greens every shot
The release is one input to a green. Before the release, the game has already decided how hard the shot is.
| Decided before the release | By |
|---|---|
| Open or contested | Your positioning and the defence |
| Shot type and animation | Which button, which stick, which situation |
| Fatigue | How long you have been sprinting |
| Badges and ratings | Your build |
| Green window size | All of the above |
A script cannot pick the shot, cannot make a contested shot open, and cannot widen a window the game has narrowed. What it can do is release inside whatever window you were given, every time, which is the part a thumb gets wrong under pressure. Your green rate with a script is your shot selection plus the script's timing. That is why two people with the same script report different numbers, and why anyone quoting one number for everyone is guessing.
What LuraNBA does about the part it controls
| The script's job | How LuraNBA does it |
|---|---|
| Hit the window on your setup | Calibrate once in MyCourt: judge each shot on the D-pad as early, late or green, and the script moves the timing until you have ten greens |
| Hold it across shot types | Separate timing for standing shots, for fades to each side, and for quickstops in each run direction |
| Hold it after patches | A new build after every 2K patch, free, on your download page |
| Stay steady | Runs best with a wired pad, because a wireless link adds a variable delay the calibration cannot absorb |
The setup that keeps the timing honest
| Element | Setting | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Pad | Wired | Constant delay is calibrated out; variable delay is not |
| Zen | Direct into the console, no hub | No power stutter |
| Display | Game mode on | The largest delay most people can remove |
| Calibration | On the pad and display you play on | The stored delay includes your chain |
Wired or wireless explains the delay point; script not working covers a script that has stopped greening after a patch.
What to expect, plainly
Better timing on the shots you already take well. Not a different player. If you take good shots and your release is the thing letting you down, a calibrated script fixes exactly that. If you take bad shots, it releases bad shots on time.
Questions
- Can a Cronus Zen green every shot in NBA 2K?
- No. A script releases the shot button inside a stored window; it cannot see the meter, the contest or your shot selection. Timing is one input to a green; the rest is you and the game.
- What does auto-green actually do?
- You start the shot and the script releases at a delay calibrated to your jumpshot. It replaces your thumb's release with a measured one. Everything before the release is still your decision.
- Why does my green rate depend on me?
- Because contest, fatigue, shot type, badges and whether you were open are decided before the release. A perfectly timed contested fadeaway is still a contested fadeaway.
- Why does the script need calibrating?
- Every jumpshot has its own release point, and your display and controller add a few milliseconds. A calibration run finds it on your setup. You take open shots in MyCourt and tell the script whether each was early, late or green.
- What happens after a patch?
- If 2K moves shot timing, the stored window is wrong until the script updates. LuraNBA ships a new build after every patch.
- Does it work with rhythm shooting on the right stick?
- Yes. LuraNBA's auto-green is built for right-stick shooting. Button shots have their own feature, Button Tempo.
