How to put a script on the Cronus Zen
Load a .gpc script onto a Cronus Zen slot with Zen Studio Live in the browser or the desktop app, select the slot, and fix the two things that stop it working.

Connect the PC to the Zen's PROG port, open Zen Studio Live in Chrome, open the .gpc file, compile, program it to a slot, unplug PROG, select the slot on the Zen. Five minutes. The two things that go wrong are a cable that does not carry data and a slot that was never selected, and both are covered below.

Steps
- PROG to the PC. The rear port next to CONSOLE/PC. The OLED shows the Zen is in programming mode.
- Open the tool. Zen Studio Live at Cronus's site in Chrome or Edge; allow the USB permission prompt and pick the Zen. Or open the desktop app.
- Open the file and compile. Errors at this stage mean the file was saved wrongly by a browser or targets older firmware; download it again.
- Program a slot. Pick a slot from 1 to 8 and program. A progress bar runs for a few seconds; do not unplug until it finishes and the OLED confirms.
- Unplug PROG. Then connect CONSOLE/PC to the console and your controller to the front. Which front port depends on the console: PS5, Xbox Series.
- Select the slot. Press the Zen's slot button until the OLED shows the number you programmed. The Zen otherwise sits on slot 0, which runs nothing.
- Open the script menu in game with the combination on your download page.
If the console does not see a controller
That is a wiring question, not a script question. On Xbox, an official or licensed Xbox pad must be wired to A1. On PS5, either the Zen LINK module sits in A1 with the pad in A3, or you run the bypass. Charge-only cables are the most common cause on both. If the script programs but does nothing in game

Keep the file
A firmware downgrade or a factory reset clears slots. With the .gpc on your PC, reprogramming is a two-minute job. Without it, it is a support ticket.

- Do I need the desktop Zen Studio or the browser version?
- Either. Zen Studio Live runs in Chrome or Edge with nothing to install and works on Windows and macOS. The desktop app is Windows only. Both load a script the same way.
- Which port do I use to load a script?
- PROG, the rear port next to CONSOLE/PC. CONSOLE/PC is for play and for firmware. They are not interchangeable.
- Do I unplug the PC cable before playing?
- Yes. Cronus's own guidance is to disconnect the PROG cable before starting a game. The script stays on the Zen.
- Why does the slot show empty after I programmed it?
- The write was interrupted, usually by a charge-only cable. Use a cable you know carries data, program again, and wait for the progress bar to finish.
- Where is my LuraNBA or LuraFPS file?
