How to put a script on the Cronus Zen

Load a GPC script onto a Cronus Zen slot with Zen Studio in about five minutes, and what to check when the console does not see the controller.

Plug the Zen into your PC by the PROG port, open Zen Studio, drag the script into a slot, press Program, then move the cable to the CONSOLE port. That is the whole job. The details below cover the two places it goes wrong.

What you need

  • The Cronus Zen and its micro-USB cable.
  • Zen Studio on Windows, from the official download. Mirrors are how people end up with the wrong firmware.
  • The script file, ending in .gpc. LuraNBA and LuraFPS downloads are on your Whop page after purchase.

Steps

  1. Connect the PC to the PROG port on the back of the Zen. The screen shows it is in programming mode.
  2. Open Zen Studio. If it offers a firmware update, take it first; scripts compiled for newer firmware will not run on older builds.
  3. In the Compiler tab, open the .gpc file and press Compile. Errors here are usually a file saved from a browser with the wrong encoding; re-download it.
  4. Press Program Device and pick a slot. Slot 1 is fine. Wait for the confirmation on the Zen screen.
  5. Move the cable from PROG to the CONSOLE port, plug the console end into a USB port, and plug your controller into A1 on the front.
  6. Load into the game and open the script menu with the button combination in your download page.

If the console does not see a controller

Almost always authentication. PS5 and Xbox Series both need a matching pad plugged into A1 or A2 so the console will accept the Zen. Keep that pad on the rear A2 port, powered off; use the pad you like on A1. If it still fails, check the firmware version against the one your script was built for.

If the script programs but does nothing in game

The slot is not selected. Press the slot button on the Zen until the screen shows the slot you programmed, or select it from Zen Studio while connected.
